CONWAY, S.C. — The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Office of Horry County will be offering the Private Pesticide Applicator Training Course on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 beginning at 8:00 a.m. This training will be held in the Johnny M. Shelley Agriculture Facility, off Highway 701, north of Conway.
This training is for agriculture producers who need a Private Pesticide Applicator’s License to purchase restricted-use pesticides in production of an agricultural product. It is also an excellent study course in preparation of taking the Core Exam for Commercial and Non-Commercial Pesticide License. For license holders who need recertification credits, three credits are given for attending this training.
A non-refundable registration fee of $100.00 is required for all participants needing an initial pesticide applicator license. Registration fee for persons needing recertification credits is $30.00. Registration is required before 4:30 pm on Monday, March 16th.
From 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., there will a Dicamba training. Beginning at 1:45 p.m., we will hold a Paraquat/Gramoxone training. There is no charge for this portion. Each of these trainings will offer one pesticide recertification credit.
