Topsoil moisture supplies rated 35% very short, 41% short, 23% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 46% very short, 35% short, 19% adequate, and 0% surplus.
Field Crops Report: Soybean condition rated 13% very poor, 25% poor, 43% fair, 18% good, and 1% excellent. Soybeans blooming was 14%, ahead of 8% last year, but near 17% for the five-year average.
Spring wheat condition rated 21% very poor, 29% poor, 32% fair, 16% good, and 2% excellent. Spring wheat jointed was 92%, near 88% last year and 93% average. Headed was 68%, ahead of 55% last year and 62% average. Coloring was 6%, near 2% last year and 4% average.
Durum wheat condition rated 12% very poor, 18% poor, 23% fair, 40% good, and 7% excellent. Durum wheat jointed was 83%, near 79% last year, but behind 91% average. Headed was 47%, near 50% both last year and average. Coloring was 2%, near 5% last year and 4% average.
Winter wheat condition rated 28% very poor, 29% poor, 29% fair, 14% good, and 0% excellent. Winter wheat jointed was 96%, near 100% both last year and average. Headed was 83%, behind 94% last year and 92% average. Coloring was 31%, ahead of 19% last year and 25% average. Mature was 3%, near 2% last year and 5% average.
