Topsoil moisture supplies rated 18% very short, 26% short, 52% adequate, and 4% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 33% very short, 31% short, 34% adequate, and 2% surplus.
Field Crops Report: Soybeans harvested was 91%, behind 96% last year, but ahead of 74% for the five-year average.
Winter wheat condition rated 15% very poor, 31% poor, 36% fair, 17% good, and 1% excellent. Winter wheat emerged was 90%, equal to last year, and ahead of 83% average.
Corn condition rated 17% very poor, 30% poor, 37% fair, 16% good, and 0% excellent. Corn harvested was 55%, behind 70% last year, but well ahead of 33% average.
Sugarbeet condition rated 1% very poor, 5% poor, 27% fair, 50% good, and 17% excellent. Sugarbeets harvested was 68%, well behind 99% last year, and behind 85% average.
Sunflower condition rated 8% very poor, 36% poor, 33% fair, 21% good, and 2% excellent. Sunflowers bracts turned brown was 98%, near 97% both last year and average. Harvested was 37%, behind 56% last year, but near 36% average.
Potatoes harvested was 90%, behind 100% last year, and equal to average.
Dry edible beans harvested was 93%, behind 100% last year, but near 91% average.
