WATERTOWN, N.Y — Farm Credit East will host the North Country Challenge, a 4-mile race and 2-mile fun run/walk at the Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, NY on August 19th, 2017. The events will feature an off road trail run or walk with man-made and natural obstacles. The 2-mile course makes for a great family hike as it is stroller-friendly and has a beautiful outlook over the lake. Camp Oswegatchie will also be open to participants after the race to enjoy canoeing or kayaking on Long Pond. Registration starts at 9:00 am and the 4-mile race starts at 10:00 am.
The top male and female participant in the 4-mile timed challenge will win a $100 award. Additional prizes will be awarded in the youth division of the 4-mile timed challenge, and to the top finisher of the 2-mile course. Youth and family discounts are available. Proceeds will benefit the Northern New York Community Foundation, Food Bank of Central New York, and New York State FFA Leadership Training Foundation. Farm Credit East is dedicated to serving our local community, and these organizations provide important services to improve our community today and in the future.
