PART ONE: WORKSHOP
This workshop, designed for farmers of all experience levels, explores managing direct markets (farm stands, CSA, farmers markets, e-commerce, etc.) in the face of adversity. From wildfires to floods to global pandemics, farmers in the North Bay have navigated multiple crises over the years. Come hear from farmers who’ve adapted to these catastrophes and join us for an interactive conversation about preparing your own farm, come what may.
Hosted by: CAFF, Sonoma County Farm Trails and UC SAREP.
PART TWO: FARM TOUR
Join for a tour of Green Valley Farm & Mill, 100+ acres outside Sebastopol, CA where multiple land-based businesses and projects are interwoven, including a small dairy, farm, vineyard, wildfire mitigation project, and more.
PART THREE: SOCIAL MIXER
Whether you’re a farmer or a local food advocate, come mix and mingle as we decompress from this year’s virtual conference and gear up for the growing season. Share thoughts, questions, reflections, or just reconnect with friends, new and old. Light food and drinks provided, potluck contributions also welcome.
