FLEMINGTON, N.J. — The New Jersey Forestry Association pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 44th Annual Meeting & Member Program of the New Jersey Forestry Association.
We hope you can join us. The theme of this year’s program is “New Jersey’s Aging Forests — Consequences & Remedies.” Topics to be covered include:
- Our changing forest landscape by Jim Finley, Penn State Extension (retired)
- Aging Forests: Remedies and what landowners should include in their plans — panel including Doug Tavella (consulting forester), Andrew Bennett (consulting forester), Kristen Meistrell (NJ Audubon Society Stewardship Dept.) and NJ State Forest Service (invited).
- Forest management funding sources by Evan Madlinger
- State Forester’s Report by John Sacco
- Forest Threats Updates by Rosa Yoo, NJ State Forest Service
- Forest Stewardship and Woodland Assessment: Updates by Andy Kimm (NJFA) and Jon Klischies (NJ State Forest Service)
The day will include a continental breakfast, hot buffet luncheon, a silent auction with great prizes and a 50/50 cash raffle.
