ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Morris County 4-H-er of the Year Kristen Briney was recognized at the Joint Agricultural Convention Dinner on Feb. 6 in Atlantic City.
The Joint Agricultural Convention Dinner takes places on the Wednesday evening of the New Jersey Agricultural Convention & Trade Show each year. As part of the event, Agricultural Ambassadors from around the state representing various counties and organizations are introduced to the audience.
Before the dinner, there is also an Ag Ambassador reception at which attendees can speak with the ambassadors about their various counties and organizations, as well as the activities they participate in, according to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture.
The New Jersey Agricultural Convention & Trade Show and the annual State Agricultural Convention is coordinated by the Vegetable Growers Association of New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, the New Jersey Blueberry Growers Association, the Garden State Wine Growers Association and the New Jersey Agriculture Experiment Station at Rutgers University. The show featured exhibits and displays from many of the industry’s suppliers and business associates. In addition, a wide variety of educational sessions were held.
