PIGEON FALLS, Wis. — Calculating NUE can be relatively simple and offers insight into how N management can be altered in order to achieve economically optimum yields while reducing nutrient losses to the environment.
UW Discovery Farms will offer a 3-part, NUE workshop series in 2019 that will guide farmers through the process of implementing an NUE study on their fields, analyzing individual NUE values compared to WI-specific benchmarks and determining future steps to improve efficiency.
If you are a farmer, crop consultant, farm advisor or extension agent and have access to at least one field that can be measured for NUE, you are eligible to participate in the workshop series. The workshop series will include 3 in-person meetings; dates and location will be chosen based on interest.
If you are interested in the workshop series, CLICK HERE to fill out an interest form before 1/18/19.
