BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota growers and agribusiness professionals are invited to join soybean research and Extension specialists from land-grant universities across the country as they host the monthly webinar series, “Science for Success: Notes from the Field.” The series, which kicked off in May, will resume June 4 at 8 a.m. CST.
“We will cover both national and regional topics, including crop conditions, freeze damage, crusting, slug pressure, risks of early planting and herbicide shortages,” says South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension Agronomist Jonathan Kleinjan. “However, we will use the majority of the webinar to answer questions directly from the audience.”
University of Kentucky Extension Professor for Grain Crops Chad Lee will moderate the discussion Friday. Panelists include Kleinjan; Laura Lindsey, University of Missouri Extension Strategic Marketing Senior Coordinator; Emerson Nafziger, University of Illinois Extension Specialist in Crop Production; Shaun Casteel, Purdue University Associate Professor of Agronomy; Carrie Knott, University of Kentucky Extension Associate Professor; and Jeremy Ross, University of Arkansas Extension Agronomist-Soybeans.
Dates for future “Science for Success: Notes from the Field” webinars are July 9 and Aug. 6, both at 8 a.m. CST.
The event is free, but attendees are asked to register here to receive their Zoom login information for the webinars.
