ROME, N.Y. — The New York Beef Council (NYBC) is diving into the podcast pool on February 23rd with the launch of Episode 1 of their brand-new podcast “NY BEEF BANTER”. The NY Beef Banter: podcast will be hosted by Nicole Rodriguez, a Registered Dietitian and NYBC board member. Nicole will guide a variety of guests and topics in monthly episodes that feature industry enthusiasts, farmers, and industry experts. The podcasts are geared to engage interested consumers in the reality of food production while also addressing topics important to beef producers allowing for a producer and consumer connection during the podcast “banter”.

Tune in to Episode 1 on Spotify or the NYBC website (www.nybeef.org) on February 23rd where you will hear banter with Betsy Hicks, NY beef producer, and CCE South Central NY Dairy Specialist, discussing all things nutrition with Nicole Rodriguez, RD in the debut episode titled: “Nutrition: Animal vs. Human are they similar?” Each episode will also have a YouTube version of the podcast on the NYBC YouTube channel featuring videos from each episode.

With the popularity of podcasts on the rise, the New York Beef Council created a podcast platform to highlight the unique perspectives of both the farmer and the consumer. Since a podcast can be easily downloaded on apps like Spotify, podcast episodes are a convenient on-the-go option. The monthly podcast will address hot topics and further the NY Beef Councils’ mission: To enhance the lives of consumers by connecting them with beef and the beef community.

This podcast and future episodes are made possible through the partnership with the Iowa Beef Council. “The NY Beef Banter” podcast can be found by visiting: https://www.nybeef.org/raising-beef or by tuning into Spotify.
