ST. PAUL — Field Work, the popular sustainable ag podcast from American Public Media, premieres an entertaining new video to tell the story of how one farming community built a successful conservation culture.
In this special project, made possible with help from the Walton Family Foundation, Field Work hosts Zach Johnson and Mitchell Hora try to understand how farmers went all in with conservation in Washington County, Iowa, co-host Mitchell’s home. This new video outlines what they learned and how other farm communities can replicate that success – all in a fun vintage newsreel style.
The video reveals how farmers’ willingness to share successes and failures and entrepreneurial problem-solving all played a big role in making Washington County a bastion of sustainable agriculture. Visit our page dedicated to all season 3 Washington County content, here.
