WALPOLE, N.H. — When you dine at the newly established Machina Kitchen & ArtBar on Court Street in Keene, NH, you’re not just eating a great meal; you’re also supporting the local farm economy. Machina Kitchen purchasing practices place emphasis on sourcing fresh, local ingredients from farms we all know and love such as Picadilly Farm (Winchester, NH), Archway Farm (Keene, NH), Up the Hill Farm (Ashuelot, NH), and Stonewall Farm (Keene, NH), to name a few.
In addition to their mission of providing an ethically sourced menu filled with the highest quality and best tasting food, they have also committed to partnering with local conservation organizations throughout the year to raise valuable operating funds. When you purchase a Preservation Plate, a sharable plate of local meats, cheeses, and vegetables, 5% of that purchase is donated to a local organization.
The Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD), a local organization committed to promoting the responsible management of soil, water, wildlife, and farm viability, is excited to partner with Machina Kitchen & ArtBar for this promotional program. So far, $190 has been raised through the sale of Preservation Plates during Machina Kitchen’s Spring menu. You can continue to support the CCCD while enjoying a delicious meal through Machina Kitchen’s Summer menu, beginning June 4th.
Stop in at Machina Kitchen & ArtBar Tuesdays-Saturdays starting at 5pm for a culinary experience you won’t soon forget and feel good knowing that your meal supports local farms, producers, and the organizations dedicated to strengthening our local food systems.
About the CCCD
The Cheshire County Conservation District promotes the conservation and responsible use of our natural and agricultural resources for the people of Cheshire County by providing technical, financial, and educational assistance. Our goal is to encourage the stewardship of healthy soils, productive ecologically sound farms, diverse wildlife, productive sustainable forests, healthy watersheds, and clean water to ensure those resources are available for future generations. Established in 1945, the Conservation District operates out of Walpole, NH where we work alongside the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and other conservation partners. For more information, contact Amanda Littleton at amanda@cheshireconservation.
