JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — On December 28, 2016, John M. Huff, Director of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration, issued the required Certificate of Authority allowing Legacy Life to commence writing life insurance policies in the State of Missouri.

As with Missouri Farm Bureau’s other insurance affiliates, the mission of Legacy Life is to provide quality insurance products and services to the residents of the State of Missouri. Legacy Life will have a focused marketing emphasis to the Latino communities, a demographic which Missouri Farm Bureau believes has been underserved in the life insurance arena.  All Legacy Life products will be sold by the current Missouri Farm Bureau captive agency force.

“Missouri Farm Bureau couldn’t be more pleased with the collaborative effort that key individuals at the Department of Insurance played in making this vision one step closer to reality,” said Randy Campbell, Chief Financial Officer of the Missouri Farm Bureau Affiliated Companies. “It’s encouraging to witness regulators and industry working together for the common goal of serving Missourians.”

Blake Hurst, President of Missouri Farm Bureau Affiliated Companies, commented on the recent Department of Insurance approval: “The solid financial strength of Missouri Farm Bureau has enabled us to form this new life insurance company.  We’re looking forward to reaching new customers with Legacy Life, while continuing our long tradition of financial strength and outstanding customer service.”
