TRENTON, N.J — The USDA-NASS, Northeastern Region just released the crop production forecast for November, according to Bruce Eklund, state statistician of the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), New Jersey Field Office. The latest survey, which was conducted during the last week of October and the first week of November, included the following:
Soybean production is forecast at 4.21 million bushels. Based on November 1 conditions, yields are expected to average 43.0 bushels per acre. Area for harvest is forecast at 98 thousand acres.
Nationally, corn production for grain is forecast at 15.1 billion bushels, up less than 1% from the previous forecast and up 7% from 2020. Soybean production for beans is forecast at 4.42 billion bushels, down 1% from the previous forecast but up 5% from last year.
