UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In the Mid-Atlantic fruit and vegetable industry, market workers and local specialized freight truckers may be at greatest risk of COVID-19 infections, according to a new brief by researchers at the Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development and Penn State.
The brief examines potential bottlenecks along fruit and vegetable supply chains that could result from concentrations of COVID-19 infections in certain locations.
