CAYCE, S.C. — South Carolina Farm Bureau welcomes Stephanie Sox to the position of Promotion and Education Division Director. Sox brings a strong knowledge and understanding of South Carolina agriculture along with extensive experience in communicating with consumers about food and farming.
A 2007 Agricultural Education graduate of Clemson University, Sox has spent her career advocating for agriculture. As Executive Director of the South Carolina Soybean Board, she increased their communication efforts and initiated a strong partnership with the South Carolina Pork Board to promote animal agriculture, soybeans’ #1 customer. In 2015, she was named Communications Director of the South Carolina Department of Agriculture where she focused on proactively addressing key issues affecting farmers.
“Stephanie is passionate about agriculture and engaging in telling the story of how our food is grown,” said South Carolina Farm Bureau President Harry Ott. “She brings energy to this position and will help us continue to be the leading voice for South Carolina farms and farmers.”
Stephanie has been an active member of South Carolina Farm Bureau since 2005, where she served as a volunteer on many county and state committees and received several awards. Sox officially joins the Farm Bureau family June 1.
