HOLLIS, N.H. — This August growers and eaters throughout the Granite State will be celebrating the state’s local products in NH Eats Local Month! New Hampshire natives will be invited to join in on a host of events, contests, film screenings, local stories, and more that highlight local producers, businesses, and local food.
New Hampshire Fruit Growers Association members are looking forward to the festivities while tending to their orchards as they enter the peak season for fruit growing. NHFGA president Kitt Plummer said, “We local New Hampshire fruit growers are working and watching our hard work ripen on the trees anticipating a nice harvest of fruit for our customers.”
NH Eats Local Month kicks off August 1st with NH’s Big Bite encouraging locals to take a bite out of something local. This year’s featured bite is pancakes with NH maple syrup. NH Eats Local Month Partners will plan and promote pancake breakfasts at their businesses and in their communities. Eaters can share how they enjoy their pancakes either at home or at a local
restaurant.
