JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The latest numbers show that Missouri now ranks second (after bypassing Oklahoma) for overall calf crop! Our farmers and ranchers expanded the herd by 250,000 head in 2016, sustaining our third place ranking for the number of beef cows. We are also thrilled that with more than 75,000 meat and other goats, Missouri broke into the top five for goat inventory.
