BISMARCK — The NDFB Foundation has set up a drought relief effort for farmers and ranchers affected by drought conditions spreading throughout North Dakota.
“This spring, North Dakota farmers and ranchers stepped up to the plate and helped those in need who were affected by wildfires in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado,” said NDFB President Daryl Lies. “Now, it is our very own farmers and ranchers who are experiencing challenges through the ever-expanding drought in our state.”
Requests for assistance or those who can help in the relief effort should go to www.ndfb.org/foundation/drought-relief or call 701-224-0330. Hay, transportation of feed and monetary donations are some of the items in need.
One hundred percent of donations will go to North Dakota farmers and ranchers affected by the drought.
Donations and requests for aid will be accepted through August 15.
“It is our hope the drought relief effort can give individuals the assistance they need to help endure this drought, along with our daily prayers,” said Lies.
The NDFB Foundation was created in 2002 to help strengthen and promote agriculture in North Dakota. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.
