ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — The NC Peach Growers’ Society Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24, from 8:30 am – 3:45 pm, at the NC Cooperative Extension, Moore County Center in Carthage. Registration is $35 at the door, and includes lunch. The program features presentations by NC State University Specialists, with information on peach production as well pest, disease, and weed information, marketing information from NC Department of Agriculture, and more.
On Monday, January 23, there will be a Peach Production workshop, in the orchards at the Sandhills Research Station, 2148 Windblow Road, Jackson Springs, from 1-3 pm. Tree Fruit Specialist Dr. Mike Parker will address Orchard management from planting through harvest.
