ORISKANY, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County and Pro-Dairy wish to invite all local dairy producers to attend the Blue Print for Change: Navigating Dairy Decision Making meeting scheduled for Monday October 29th from 12:30pm until 3:00pm at the Oneida Co. Extension Office.
Dairy producers have experienced significant challenges with extended low profit margins, volatile milk prices and diminishing milk marketing routes. The focus of the meeting will highlight various decision making tools available to producers through the Dairy Acceleration Program (DAP). Taking stock of and planning for the future of your dairy business is critical to its success. DAP offers funding for farm business planning and analysis that can assist producers in analyzing operating efficiencies to improve your bottom line, plan for growth to accommodate the junior partner, and develop a layout for future structures on the farmstead. Plus much more.
The Blue Print for Change meeting will be held at the CCE Oneida Farm and Home Center located at 121 Second St. in Oriskany. Lunch will be provided at no charge. Reservations are required by October 25th by calling 315-736-3394 ext. 132 or email to mrm7@cornell.edu.
