OLYMPIA, Wash. — All wheat stored in all positions on June 1, 2021 totaled 18.7 million bushels in Idaho, down from 28.8 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 31 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 45 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 8.36 million bushels, down from 19.5 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 60 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 33 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 45.6 million bushels, down from 53.3 million bushels a year ago. Off- farm stocks were down 16 percent, while on-farm stocks were unchanged from the previous year. Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 844 million bushels, down from 1.03 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 12 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 38 percent compared to the previous year.
Barley stocks in all positions on June 1, 2021 totaled 22.3 million bushels in Idaho, down from 24.5 million bushels a
year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 9 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 10 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 517,000 bushels, up from 478,000 bushels a year ago. Off farm stocks were up 50 percent, while On-farm stocks were down 50 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 3.46 million bushels, down from 4.26 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 17 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 37 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 71.8 million bushels, down from 80.3 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 9 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 15 percent compared to the previous year.
Oats stored in off-farm locations on June 1, 2021 totaled 72,000 bushels in Idaho, down from 81,000 bushels a year ago. In Washington, oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 55,000 bushels, up from 39,000 bushels the previous year. Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 38.0 million bushels, up from 36.8 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 4 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 25 percent compared to the previous year.
Corn stored in off-farm locations on June 1, 2021 totaled 5.18 million bushels in Idaho, up from 4.24 million bushels a year ago. In Washington, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 8.54 million bushels, up from 7.57 million bushels a year ago. Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 4.11 billion bushels, down from 5.0 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 11 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 39 percent compared to the previous year.
