RALEIGH, N.C. — Registration is open for the first-ever Technology Symposium hosted by the North Carolina Green Industry Council (GIC).
The event is a continuation of the GIC Water Symposium, which was developed in 2010 in response to drought conditions in North Carolina in 2006 and 2007. Subsequent conferences continued to explore shared water responsibilities within the green industry. The 2020 event was canceled because of limitations on in-person meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The shift to technology comes as the green industry experienced an uptick in business because of last year’s increased consumer interest in their services. The technology theme expands the focus of the conference to offer solutions to keep green industry businesses innovative, productive and profitable. The new focus also offers a wider range of topics that can be addressed at future events.
“The GIC is excited to return this year with a conference focusing on technology in the green industry,” said Matt Hunter, GIC President. “Our speakers will introduce solutions to help industry professionals operate more efficiently and maintain productivity after a record-breaking year of business.”

The Technology Symposium is the first in-person event hosted by GIC since early 2020 and expects to exceed capacity. Early registration is recommended.
