Morning Ag Clips Giving Project

GREENWICH, N.Y. — At a time when I feel like I can’t possibly make a difference in this great big world, I try to remind myself to go back to what I can do, and make a difference there.

I can show positivity, I can teach my children to be caring, giving and helpful.  I can lend a hand in the form of physical work, donate a little money, and I can also communicate—which is what I do for a living.

So I decided that my communication vehicle, the Morning Ag Clips, is going to have a giving project, where we can help, in an agricultural way.

I, we, the Morning Ag Clips family, can make a difference. We can give the gift of agriculture as a means to feed, clothe, and provide a source of income for children. This would be in a community where farming means a hoe and milking is mostly done by hand. There are not many air-conditioned tractors, heated shops, or 10-wheelers pulling in with loads of corn.

You see, I have a friend named Jenny, and she is quite an amazing person. Jenny started an orphanage in Kenya when she was just 20 years old. Now, 10 years into it she has made remarkable strides. The orphanage currently houses and cares for 45 children. Yes, 45!! And to boot, along with it, she organized and runs a school in their village that educates her orphans, grades 9-12, as well as another 50+ children who reside locally.

Way to go Jenny!

So where do the Morning Ag Clips come in?

Currently the orphanage is on a mission to grow their milking herd. The milk cows provide a way for the orphanage to create a source of revenue that goes beyond just providing the nourishment for the orphans. The milk from the cows will be sold to their local community in exchange for things that they need as well as funds to keep the orphanage running.

The Morning Ag Clips has committed to donating $750 to purchase a cow for this expansion project.

Since all of your are involved in agriculture I thought that this particular fund raiser might be of interest to you…it’s about agriculture.

If you would like to make a difference, then please join us by donating to this cause at the following donation page:   https://www.youcaring.com/healraisingourworldfoundationinc-803344

Wouldn’t it be great if we could buy a small herd of cows for these kids and some of the equipment that will help get the job done? These skills of land stewardship, animal husbandry, and entrepreneurship will last a lifetime.

For me this project is about making a difference. It’s about helping children who don’t have the amenities that we do. It’s about supporting agriculture halfway around the world. It’s about children. And as much as I want to bring them all home here to Greenwich with me, I can’t. So for now, from my little tiny corner of the world, at 97 Main, I can orchestrate a giving project.
