ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe County 4-H Team will be sharing a series of brief videos for youth and families, highlighting tips and small garden projects to do at home. Recently, 4-H Educator Jessica showed us how to sow seeds in homemade toilet paper roll pots in a tutorial found on the Cornell Cooperative Extension YouTube channel.
Additional videos will be premiering on the Monroe County 4-H Youth Development Facebook page over the next few weeks. Topics will include Taking Care of Seedlings, Potting up Seedlings, and Companion Planting. These videos will feature research-based information to get a garden off to a great start.

The Monroe County 4-H Program is offered through Cornell Cooperative Extension to the youth of Monroe County. 4-H is a worldwide youth development program open to all youth aged 5- to-19, who want to have fun, learn new skills, and explore the world. In return, youth who participate in 4-H find a supportive environment and opportunities for hands-on or “experiential” learning about things that interest them.
