UNITY, Maine — The health and safety of the MOFGA staff and our broader community is our top priority. For this reason MOFGA is taking the following actions in response to COVID-19:
- MOFGA offices are closed to the public and staff are working remotely until further notice
- MOFGA events through April 1 are postponed or canceled
We are keeping this webpage up to date with the most current information and we’ll adjust our strategy as needed. We’re hoping to make some of our future workshops available online. Our goal is to do our best to bring you the MOFGA programs and services that you rely on during this time.
We’re aware of the greater disruption that this crisis is having on our farming and food community. Many producers are taking measures to ensure local and organic foods are available in a manner that minimizes face to face interactions. Find your local organic producers here and support these businesses if you are able.
Our community has always come together in times of struggle, whether helping a neighbor rebuild a barn lost by fire, or helping a sick farmer harvest their crops. We are strong, creative, and connected, and we’re confident that our community will find ways to support each other during this crisis too.
