ORLANDO, Fla. — The National Corn Growers Association and BASF awarded the William C. Berg Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship to five aspiring agriculture students pursuing degrees in an agriculture-related field at the 2019 Commodity Classic in Orlando, Fla.
Among the winners was Amber Oerly, a sophomore from Boonville, Mo., studying agriculture business at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. Amber accepted her $1,000 scholarship at the Commodity Classic Trade Show in addition to being recognized during the NCGA Awards Banquet. The scholarship was created to honor William C. Berg, an Ohio farmer who passed away in 2012.
