WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Starting at 6 p.m. on Sept. 23, University of Missouri Extension is offering “Call Before You Cut,” a portion of the Missouri Woodland Steward Program.
Sarah Havens, field specialist in natural resources with MU Extension, will teach the program. Attendees will learn the steps to getting the highest price for their timber while maintaining woodland health for future harvests as well as how to create a harvest plan.
“Whether harvesting timber regularly or just wanting to clear land for pasture, this class can save you hundreds of dollars,” said Havens.
