SEDALIA, Mo. — Monday, Aug. 13, the Missouri State Fair will celebrate the Annual Farm Bureau/Farm Family Day. Farm families were nominated by University of Missouri Extension and Missouri Farm Bureau to represent all 114 counties in Missouri plus St. Louis City. Farm Family Day is sponsored and supported by Missouri Farm Bureau, University of Missouri Extension, the Missouri Department of Agriculture, the Missouri State Fair, and the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.
Farm families will be recognized at a dinner in their honor at the Director’s Tent on Aug. 13. Additionally, the family names and their respective counties will be on display at an exhibit, sponsored by University of Missouri Extension, west of the Historic Administration Building.
Farm Family Day offers gate admission, carnival, and truck and tractor pull discounts for fairgoers. Coupons are available for the public at all Missouri county Farm Bureau offices. These coupons are good for $1 off adult gate admission, $5 off unlimited carnival ride wristband, and $5 off adult and $3 off youth Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull tickets, valid Aug. 13 only.
New this year are FREE tram rides offered to ALL fairgoers on Aug. 13. These free rides are sponsored by Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, made possible by Missouri Soybean farmers and their checkoff.
