Missouri 4-H Foundation awards 77 scholarships

77 scholarships totaling $99,000 were awarded to Missouri 4-H youths to help further their educations

PUBLISHED ON May 19, 2022

“For over 70 years, the Missouri 4-H Foundation, fueled by our donors and partners, has supported 4-H’ers in achieving their educational goals,” said Kelli Jo Buettner, chair of the Missouri 4-H Foundation board of trustees. “Again this year, we are pleased to honor an incredible group of 4-H’ers who are model representatives of the 4-H program, aiming to make their local clubs, communities and Missouri better.” (Baim Hanif/Unsplash)

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri 4-H Foundation is awarding 77 scholarships totaling $99,000 to Missouri 4-H youths to help further their educations.

Kelli Jo Buettner, chair of the Missouri 4-H Foundation board of trustees, said, “For over 70 years, the Missouri 4-H Foundation, fueled by our donors and partners, has supported 4-H’ers in achieving their educational goals. Again this year, we are pleased to honor an incredible group of 4-H’ers who are model representatives of the 4-H program, aiming to make their local clubs, communities and Missouri better.”

Missouri 4-H youths are encouraged to showcase their personal growth and development as well as their career goals on their scholarship applications.

“We know that 4-H members have the skills to succeed in their lives, their communities and their careers. What they may not have are the financial resources to help them attend college,” said Rachel Augustine, Missouri 4-H Foundation director. “Our hope is that these scholarships offer some relief to a generation that has faced unprecedented challenges throughout the past year.”

A gift to the Missouri 4-H Foundation Scholarship Fund will help ensure more young people have an opportunity to attend college and reach their full potential. To make a gift, visit mizzou.us/Fund704.
