COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Missouri 4-H Foundation is pleased to announce that 70 scholarships totaling $68,000 will be awarded to Missouri 4-H youth to aid in the furthering of their education. These recipients will be recognized at the foundation’s annual scholarship and awards banquet on Sept. 27, 2019.
“It is with tremendous support from families, foundations, businesses and communities across the state that the Missouri 4-H Foundation is able to contribute to the education and advancement of Missouri’s young people,” said Rachel Augustine, Missouri 4-H Foundation director. “Connecting youth to higher education is a fundamental role of the 4-H Youth Development Program, and we are committed to supporting the educational achievements of our future leaders.”
Missouri 4-H youth applying for the scholarship are encouraged to showcase their leadership, citizenship and community service experience, and career goals. The hard work of those youth is then rewarded through the opportunities that the Missouri 4-H Foundation fosters by raising funds for the MU Extension 4-H Youth Development Program. For nearly 70 years, the Missouri 4-H Foundation has been helping the youth of today become the leaders of tomorrow.
