ST. PAUL — The US Grains Council (USGC) hosted their Annual Board of Delegates Meeting in Vancouver, Washington July 31-August 2. The meeting brought together over 300 national delegates to focus on emerging opportunities and global trade. Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council’s Chad Willis was elected USGC’s At-Large Director at the meeting.
Later in August, the 2017 US Soy Global Trade Exchange and Midwest Specialty Grains Conference and Tradeshow attracted more than 600 attendees. Minnesota soybean producers, researchers, processors, agribusinesses, and shippers were well-represented. Global trade featured prominently in discussions on grain inspection, trade barriers, and the upcoming Farm Bill.
