The Dakota Royal Charity Draft Horse Show Youth Fund has awarded Howard, SD, area resident & Miner County 4-H member Kayla Kommes a $250 grant toward obtaining quality harness equipment to ensure she can begin to properly train her draft horse cross 'Lily' to advance in to competing in driving classes in the future. BROOKINGS, S.D. — The Dakota Royal Charity Draft Horse Show Youth Fund has awarded Howard, SD, area resident & Miner County 4-H member Kayla Kommes a $250 grant toward obtaining quality harness equipment to ensure she can begin to properly train her draft horse cross ‘Lily’ to advance in to competing in driving classes in the future. The June 23rd & 24th, 2018 Dakota Charity Royal Draft Horse Show at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD will feature 10+ of the top six horse hitches from across the US and Kayla will get an up close view when she volunteers to ensure the national level show runs smoothly and at a full trot. Get ready to bid on the Youth Fund Silent Auction items donated from across the US. In June 2018, the Dakota Royal Charity Draft Horse Show will once again raise funds thru their silent auction to support youth efforts in the draft horse community.
