WATERLOO, Iowa — The Iowa Organic Association presents the 2019 Midwest Organic Pork Conference, the first conference ever organized in the United States dedicated to presenting the best resources and information available to help expand opportunities for organic and niche pork production and distribution.
The conference will present some of the industry’s leading experts sharing information during this dynamic, engaging and comprehensive conference to meet the needs and interests of producers and the organic pork industry. Friday afternoon includes two intensive workshops; one for the new or transiting farmer and the second for the advanced organic pig farmer. A “Taste of Iowa” reception will round out Friday’s activities. Saturday kicks-off with keynote, Bertel Hestbjerg, Denmark’s largest organic pig producer to share his experience and best practices; followed by a day full of breakout sessions focused on Organic Transition, Feed and Nutrition, Herd Health, Consumer Preferences, Housing Options and much more!
Sponsor and Exhibitor opportunities are still available for those wanting to reach producers from across the Midwest.
The conference will be held at the Waterloo Center for the Arts in Waterloo on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9. More information is available at MidwestOrganicPorkConference.org. Early registration ends on Friday, February 1, 2019.
