HICKORY CORNERS, Mich. — The Midwest Nut Producers Council Annual Membership Meeting on March 9-10, 2018, will be expanded to include two days of programming and will be at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The program is being expanded to allow for more in-depth educational and networking opportunities for chestnut producers. The board will also use this opportunity to gather feedback from members.
This 2018 Midwest Nut Producers Council Annual Membership Meeting will include information on chestnut weevil, Asian chestnut gall wasp and cultivar performance. Additionally, the Midwest Nut Producers Council will hold a regular business meeting and also work to identify industry priorities to focus their efforts over the coming years.
Lastly, the Midwest Nut Producers Council is hosting an evening social mixer in one of the historical on-site cottages at the beautiful W.K. Kellogg Biological Station. Registration and detailed program information will be released in January via Michigan State University Extension Chestnuts.
