SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — You are invited to Middlesex County’s EARTH Center Garden and Arts Fest this Saturday, August 21 in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park in South Brunswick from noon to 4 pm.
Join Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County’s Master Gardeners for garden tours and consult with them on your growing concerns. Discussions on plant problems, native plants, spotted lanternfly and other hot topics will take place. Learn about our Master Gardener program, environmental stewardship program and Beginner Farmer program. Discover how you can become a volunteer in our Rows for the Hungry program at the park where we donate thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables to those in need.
Take part in an Art in the Park activity featuring local artists rendering still life paintings of the impending harvest season. Families should bring their own art supplies to join in the fun from 1-3 pm. Local artists will guide this activity.
Davidson’s Mill Pond Park also has several ponds for fishing from land or with kayaks and canoes. Bikes and hiking boots will also help you get the most out the park trails.
Bring a donation of a non-perishable canned food item for MCFOODS, the County’s food bank.
