MidAtlantic Farm Credit announces farm transition planning webinar series

Four-part series planned with PA Farm Link, AgChoice Farm Credit

WESTMINSTER, Md. — MidAtlantic Farm Credit recently announced a four-part webinar series in January and February 2021 on farm transition planning with PA Farm Link and AgChoice Farm Credit.

“This webinar series is so important for the future of our region’s farm families,” says Tom Truitt, CEO of MidAtlantic Farm Credit. “Attendees will learn what they need to consider for farm succession, how to communicate with their family members, and how to put their plan into action.”

The series will take place over January and February 2021 on the following dates:

  • Introduction to Creating a Succession Plan
    January 11, 2021 | 11AM – 12PM
  • Analyzing your Financial Position for Creating a Succession Plan
    January 25, 2021 | 11AM – 12PM
  • Communicating with your Family about Transitioning the Farm
    February 8, 2021 | 11AM – 12PM
  • Questions about Legal Implications around Transitioning the Farm
    February 22, 2021 | 11AM – 12PM

“A farmers’ true measure of success is how well he or she plans and carries out the transition of the family farm to the next generation of farmers,” Darlene Livingston, Executive Director, PA Farm Link.

Attendees can register for the webinar series online at mafc.com/event/webinar-transition-planning. Once registered, participants will receive all of the materials via email and can join or watch the replays when convenient. If you have any questions you’d like our presenters to answer during the meetings, please email them to webinar@mafc.com.
