KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Registration is now open for Michigan’s Great Beer State Conference and Trade Show. This event marks the third year of a collaboration between Michigan Brewers Guild, Michigan State University Extension and Master Brewers Association-Michigan designed to bring together stakeholders from across the beer value chain.
The conference will take place Jan. 11- 13, 2023, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Presentations from beer industry professionals and university experts will cover relevant topics on brewery management, beer sales and marketing, technical aspects of brewing, and craft beer raw materials (hops and barley).
The conference kicks off Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with a sensory evaluation presentation led by Roy Desrochers from the University of Vermont. This session is followed by the Allied Member Tradeshow from 1-6 p.m. Educational sessions will begin Thursday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. with the opening keynote address featuring Bob Jacquard, chairman/owner of Stormy Kromer, followed by four concurrent tracks of presentations ending at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.
