ST. PAUL — The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) presents its 2021 LEAP Leadership Conference, July 16-17 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center/Sioux Falls Sheraton in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Farm Bureau LEAP Conference is designed to raise awareness of agriculture issues, provide advocacy tools and enhance networks, leadership skills and professional development.
Keynotes: Vance Crowe and Dick Beardsley
Vance Crowe is a communications consultant that has worked for corporations and international organizations around the world. Vance helps organizations realize why the general public doesn’t agree with their perspective and offers new ways to communicate effectively, resolve disagreements and build rapport with critics and stakeholders.
Dick Beardsley is one of the world’s most extraordinary, well-respected and compelling keynote speakers. Dick’s inspirational international best-selling autobiography, Staying the Course, A Runners Toughest Race, is the subject of several best-selling books and a feature film. Dick has spoken to countless groups all over the world. Anywhere motivation, inspiration and hope are needed.
Pre-Conference Tours
This year’s tours will depart from the Sanford Center at 12 p.m. on Friday. Tours stops include HydroGreen Global, Rosenbauer Firetrucks, Stensland Family Farms, and South Dakota State University.
Pre-Conference Session
This year a pre-conference session will be available at 12 p.m. on Friday. The session featured is safeTALK, which focuses on suicide and mental illness among farmers and farm workers and learning skills to address those in need.

Farm Bureau Market

Conference Sessions
On Saturday, there will be three rounds of sessions ranging in topics from leadership, education, advocacy, and promotion. Saturday afternoon will have a “Resource Course” for those interested in Promotion & Education. The Leadership Conference will also be the host to the preliminary rounds of the Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet.
On Saturday night following the keynote speaker, attendees will head to The Falls Park for dinner and a night of fun including family entertainment and tours of the Stockyards Ag Experience.
