BOWDOINHAM, Maine — The Merrymeeting Food Council welcomes farmers, farm laborers, and service providers to join a roundtable event on December 16, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Merrymeeting Hall in Bowdoinham (33 Main St.). The aim of the event is to discuss farm labor models, share resources, and build a network focused on short and long term solutions to recent labor shortages.
Planning partners for the event include area farmers and representatives of Bowdoinham Community Development Initiative, Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust, the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, the Maine Department of Labor, Land for Good, Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, Merrymeeting Food Council, and others.
We welcome anyone interested in the topic to attend. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
