FRAZEYSBURG, Ohio — More than 300 people attended the Ohio Association of Meat Processors (OAMP) convention recently in Columbus. One of the highlights of the convention is the product competition in which Ohio City Provisions, Cleveland, walked away with the honor of Best of Show out of more than 12o entries. The winning entry was in the Beef Brisket class.

Other recognition during the banquet was Bob George, Baltimore, being selected as the 2022 Honorary Life Member. Scholarships were presented to the following: Elizabeth Dunn, Springfield; Shala Graham, Frazeysburg; Elizabeth Hickey, Jackson Center; Emma Widmer, Gibsonburg; and Molly and Bailey Winner, Yorkshire.

Cindy Dendinger of Bellevue Meats, Bellevue, will serve as OAMP president for the upcoming year, with Will Winner of Robert Winner Sons, Yorkshire, serving as vice president, Clay Caven of Caven’s Meats, Conover, director at large, and Rob Winner of Winner Meat Farm, Greenville, as past president.

The OAMP is a non-profit organization that works for the betterment of the meat industry in Ohio.
