FARGO, N.D. — The Annual Meeting of the Midwest Cover Crop Council will be held close to home this year. The Annual Meeting rotates around the Midwest, but 2018 finds North Dakota State University hosting the cover crop conference March 13-14 in Fargo, ND. Pre-registration is preferred with Early Bird Registration until March 2nd.
March 13 Keynote Speaker will be Ray Weil (Soil Scientist, University of Maryland) discussing, “Roots Run Deep in Cover Crop Science”.
March 14 will have two Keynote Speakers. Clark Seavert (Economist, Oregon State University) discussing, “Play to Win with Sustainable Systems.” Daryl Ritchison (Interim Director, NDAWN) discussing, “Voices of the 1930s: When the Soil Blew Away.”
Breakout Sessions topics include, but are not limited to: cover crop soil benefits, cover crops as forage, cover crops and pollinators, cover crops and weed management, nutrient cycling of interseeded cover crops, disease management when using cover crops, and much, much more.
