MONTROSE, Pa. — The Mason Bee, a great pollinator is more dependable and productive than honey bees in early spring. Learn how to attract these solitaire native bees plus other pollinators and beneficial insects and build your own Mason Bee house. On March 16 at 10 a.m., Master Gardeners Jim Kasten and Lori Wallace will build a redesigned Mason Bee Lodge that is easier to keep clean. The program will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Montrose.
The cost of materials for each lodge is $18 plus a $5 registration fee. On your Montrose Area Adult School registration form, please indicate the number of lodges you wish to make and add the cost to your registration fee. Or, you may just simply listen to the discussion and observe the building of the lodges.
