VOLUSIA CO., Fla. — Volusia County’s master gardeners will share winter gardening tips and answer questions during seven plant clinics in January. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up.
- 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at the Edgewater Public Library, 103 W. Indian River Blvd. Master Gardener Julie Warner will discuss plant propagation.
- 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 7, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.
- 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the DeLand Regional Library, 130 E. Howry Ave. Attendees are encouraged to bring a potted plant, cuttings or seeds to exchange.
- 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave. Howard Jeffries will explain how to choose the right plant for the right location from 11 a.m. to noon.
- 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Sugar Mill Gardens, 950 Sugar Mill Road, Port Orange.
- 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the DeBary Public Library, 200 N. Charles R. Beall Blvd.
- 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.
Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows.
