MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Learn something new and shake off your cabin fever with a series of sweet and savory programs hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County!
Please join us at two upcoming Zoom programs with Orange County Senior Master Gardener Volunteer Joe Gregoire. Joe will present Backyard Maple Syrup on Tuesday, January 12 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. and Shiitake Mushroom Cultivation on Tuesday, February 9 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
Joe and his wife have a small farm in Westtown, started in 2016, where they grow hops for local breweries, mushrooms for local restaurants, and produce maple syrup for family and friends.
During this difficult time, pricing is available on a sliding scale for both programs. There is a suggested fee of $10 per participant, $20 to sponsor yourself and another participant in need, or a $0 COVID-19 solidarity pricing for those impacted by the pandemic. Gardening in Orange County subscribers receive a discounted price of $8.
