MONTROSE, Pa. — The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County are holding a massive fundraising plant sale and catalogs are available to pre-order over 200 varieties of perennials, annuals, herbs and a huge selection of vegetables. Proceeds help us fund educational gardening programs to residents throughout the county. Programs are held at Salt Springs, Harford Fair, countywide Senior Centers, local Garden Clubs presentations and at our array of demonstration gardens, to name a few. Get your color catalog and order form now for pre-ordering and best selection. Deadline to order is April 29.
In addition to pre-order sales, the Master Gardeners are hosting a Master Gardener Plant Sale Festival on May 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and May 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penn State Extension Office in Montrose where there will be even more plants to peruse. Pre-orders will be picked up during the festival days.
Several unique vendors and food options will be part of the family fun festival day. There will be tents and tables full of plants, gardening information, book sales, garden tours and gardening demonstrations. Items will be on display within the Extension office building as well. Please support your local Master Gardeners by ordering plants and attending the Festival. This sale will help us to deliver gardening programs to the community.
