ORISKANY, N.Y. — The Master Gardener Volunteers of County Cooperative Extension Oneida County regret to inform the public that the June 2021 Herb & Flower Fest will not be held this year due to the continued uncertainties of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Consequently, plans are underway for a Spring 2022 Herb and Flower Festival. After two years of cancellations, the master gardeners intend to focus our planning efforts on June 18, 2022. So be sure to Save the Date.
The Master Gardeners understand that the festival is an important venue for gardeners and plant enthusiasts. The Cornell Cooperative Extension staff and the master gardeners are still on-site at our offices to help you with your garden questions, as well as, disease and pest problems. Soil pH is still being processed for just $2 per sample in our lab at 121 Second St. in Oriskany. Contact us to find out how you can leave a sample as the building door is locked but there is a doorbell for folks to ring for drop offs.
The Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County will continue to sponsor virtual gardening programs throughout the spring and summer months. Check out our website events page for upcoming classes and be sure to keep checking back http://cceoneida.com/events.
As the weather improves in May, the Master Gardeners will be working in the Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens at the Cooperative Extension offices located at 121 Second St. off of Judd Road in Oriskany, New York. The gardens are open to the public spring through fall and include a nature trail. Please respect other visitors by social distancing during your visit. Questions? Call 315-736-3394 ext. 100.
