MONTROSE, Pa. — Join the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County for their 4th Annual Fall Clinic on Saturday, October 26, from 10 am-2 pm at the Montrose Bible Conference on Lake Ave, Maplewood Campus, Montrose, PA.
Lunch will be offered as well as presenters who will be discussing topics regarding “Outside Poisonous Plants”, “Raising Hard Neck Garlic”, “Planting for Tomorrow” and a hands-on project, making creative a Bird Feeder using dried apples, karo syrup and bird seed. There will be handouts on the care and planting of Hostas. The Jr. Master Gardeners will have a display of projects they have completed throughout the year and other Master Gardeners will have displays featuring “Plastic Alternatives” and “A name brand weed killer vs vinegar”.
A special treat is in store for attendees who will also serve as judges for the Junior Master Gardeners Pumpkin Round up contest! This will be a half day of horticultural education and fun! Morning coffee will be served, and a small delicious lunch will be provided by the Montrose Bible Conference. The registration fee is $25.00.
