GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program is in the process of accepting applications.
To help you decide if you should apply to be an EMGV, ask yourself these questions:
- Do I want to learn more about the culture and maintenance of many types of plants?
- Am I eager to participate in a practical and intense training program?
- Do I look forward to sharing my knowledge with people in my community?
- Do I have enough time to commit to attending training and to completing the volunteer service?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, the EMGV program could be for you! Guilford County EMGVs learn in-depth horticulture information in approximately 45 hours of classroom training and then use that training in various outreach programs throughout the county with volunteer service hour requirements of 50 hours for the first year.
Contact your local Extension Office to see if there is a program in your county and to obtain an application.
