MONTROSE, Pa. — It’s hard to think of a beautiful winter landscape and the joys of Christmas right now, but why not!  The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County will be holding their annual premium wreath and poinsettia fundraiser and the deadline to order is November 5th. These lush wreaths and poinsettias are not your typical small grocery/retail plants…they are large gorgeous premium plants from a local grower. They were a huge hit last year!

There are a variety of poinsettia colors: Red Glitter, Pink, White, and Classic Red. There are 2 sizes: 6 ½ pot for $15 and large 8 ½ pot for $30 (classic red only). The lush green wreaths come in 2 sizes as well: 12” for $25 or 24” for $30. We encourage you to consider purchasing your poinsettias and wreaths locally through the Master Gardener’s poinsettia and Christmas wreath sale. Again, these are the best of the best and all proceeds from this sale goes directly into educational programming for the community

Pick up is: Thursday, Dec 5, 1pm – 6 pm at the Penn State Extension Office, 88 Chenango Street, Montrose, PA or call to make other arrangements. *Businesses who order can get early delivery for decoration purposes on November 26 late afternoon at the Penn State Extension Office.

The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners had a busy year hosting a dozen gardening programs with the Montrose Area Adult School ranging from pruning, lavender wands, blueberries, and tree ID to day-long spring and fall clinics and not to mention building mason bee homes and butterfly programs! Master Gardeners were an integral part of educating the public about the invasive Spotted Lanternfly and had a big educational presence at the Master Gardener building at the Harford Fair. The public enjoys many educational gardens throughout the county and anticipates our annual plant sale in May. We encourage you to support your local Master Gardeners by taking part in our poinsettia and wreath sale and also welcome you to join us for our super programs next year!

To request an order form email us at:susquehannamg@psu.edu, call us at 570-666-9003 or message us on Facebook: Penn State Ext Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County, PA. We can also mail you an order form if you provide your mailing address, or you can stop by and pick one up at the Penn State Extension Office at 88 Chenango Street, Montrose, PA.
